Bhubaneswar, Oct. 10 -- The Bolangir police claimed cracked the sensational murder attempt case on hotelier Shibadayal Jain of Titilagarh, revealing a shocking contract killing plot during a press briefing on Friday.

According to Bolangir SP, the mastermind behind the conspiracy, Ankur Agrawal, had allegedly offered Rs 5 lakh supari (contract) to Bhaktabandhu Kharseil and Naresh Kumar Behera to eliminate Jain.Acting on the deal, the duo attempted to murder the hotel owner by ramming a Bolero vehicle into him. However, Jain narrowly escaped the attack.

Sources said, Ankur had given Rs 40,000 in advance to the duo and assured to make the rest payments once Jain is eliminated.
