In a split show of solidarity, several Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers defied their association's protest directive following an attack on senior OAS officer and BMC Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo. While some officers boycotted work, many continued their duties across departments and district offices on Thursday.
According to sources, a state-wide protest call earlier issued by the OAS Association (OASA) against an attack on the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officer received mixed compliance, as a large number of OAS officers chose to ignore the directive and reported for duty as usual.
