Bhubaneswar, Oct. 17 -- In Assam's Kakopathar area, a grenade attack struck an Indian Army camp on Friday, injuring three soldiers.

The assault is believed to have been carried out jointly by the banned insurgent groups NSCN-K(YA) and ULFA-Independent.

The exchange of fire reportedly lasted nearly an hour before the attackers retreated into dense forest terrain.
