India, Feb. 1 -- An armed robbery was reported late Friday night at Balisahi village of Bhuinpur panchayat under Aul police limits in Kendrapara district. The dacoity gang decamped with valuables worth more than Rs 12 Lakh, including cash and gold ornaments.

According to police sources, a group of around five armed dacoits barged into the house of Narayan Sahoo, causing destruction as they made their way through. The assailants made off with gold jewellery valued at Rs 10 Lakh and an additional Rs 2 Lakh in cash.
