A demand has been raised to operate a Vande Bharat train between Jeypore and Bhubaneswar. Local MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati urged that he has brought the matter to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Responding to the demand, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday promised that the Jeypore-Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat service would be launched in the coming days. He added that the state government is also considering steps to reopen the long-shut paper mill.
