In yet another case of self-immolation, a 30-year-old woman from Manapur village in Angul district attempted to burn herself alive at her home on late Friday evening. The victim is now receiving critical treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after sustaining around 70 percent of severe burn injuries.
Authorities from Kantabania police station in Angul stated that the woman reportedly had an argument with her husband earlier in the day. Following the altercation, she poured petrol over herself and set herself on fire inside her residence.
