A bizarre case of alleged misuse of public health resources has surfaced from Gomundia village under Krushnaprasad block in Puri district, where a government-run 108 ambulance was found transporting rice sacks instead of patients.

According to eyewitnesses, the ambulance, bearing registration number OD07-AC-1926, unexpectedly entered the village and was soon seen being loaded with multiple bags of rice. Locals who questioned the activity were reportedly told that the vehicle was carrying ration rice, not for any medical emergency.
