Bhubaneswar, Aug. 21 -- The All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhubaneswar has received accolades from all quarters for its sincere efforts in readying an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in just one hour to treat six patients with critical burn injuries.

The authorities of the premier health institute under the direct supervision of Director Gitanjali Batmanabane readied the ICU with the help of 30 doctors and nurses to treat some gas cylinder explosion victims.

Notably, as many as seven people were taken in critical condition after a cooking gas cylinder exploded at Gambharimunda village in Khordha district on Thursday morning.
