BHUBANESWAR, Oct. 3 -- After the Odisha Parents' Federation levelled allegations that general category students were being enrolled under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota in DAV schools across Odisha, the State government has decided that admissions under EWS will be conducted online and under its supervision.

Instead of schools, the State government will conduct the admissions under the EWS category.

"The State government will introduce online admissions for EWS category from next session so that no private school can misuse the 25% quota facility," said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Das .

The Odisha Parents' Federation had lodged a complaint before Odisha State Commission For Protection Of Child Rights (OSPCR)...
