Bhubaneswar, Nov. 28 -- Concerns of the Odia film industry came to the fore at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where actor Manoj Mishra apprised Bollywood star Aamir Khan of the shortage of cinema halls in Odisha and the challenges faced in releasing Odia films in the State.
During the interaction, Mishra explained how he had to release his film Mindgame in villages across Odisha due to the absence of functional theatres.
He said, "We have many talented actors, directors and technicians." He further stated that just as Aamir Khan showed interest in the Oscars to create opportunities for Indians internationally, Odias also wish for their films to reach the global market, but 'there is not much faith in us.'
