Bhubaneswar, Oct. 14 -- A mobile theft accused from West Bengal managed to escape from Chandaka Police Station in Bhubaneswar after allegedly pushing aside two constables on duty, raising serious questions over security arrangements under the Commissionerate Police.
According to sources, the incident occurred on Monday when the accused, identified as Raja from West Bengal, was being interrogated in connection with a mobile theft case.
Reports added that Raja was arrested two days ago for allegedly stealing an iPhone on September 28. During questioning, he complained of nausea and requested permission to use the washroom.
