Bhubaneswar, Dec. 2 -- The Capital Police filed a chargesheet in the high-profile murder case of woman constable Shubhamitra, submitting a detailed 680-page document before the court. Statements of 42 witnesses have been recorded, and charges were framed under BNS Sections 103(1), 238 and 61(2).

Police identified her husband, Deepak Rout, as the prime accused. Three others, Binod Bihari Bhuyan (son of Deepak's maternal aunt), Jatia, and Sambhu Mahant, have also been named in the chargesheet for their alleged involvement.
