BHADRAK, Oct. 14 -- Once again bringing the dwindling state of healthcare system in Odisha to the fore, another pregnant woman had to deliver her baby on the verandah of Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) today.
The woman, Ranulata Khillar, a resident of Taldumuka village under Tihidi block of the district was admitted to the hospital for delivery but citing her critical condition, the doctor referred her to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack. However, the woman, who was reportedly in labour pain, delivered a baby on the hospital verandah.
