CUTTACK, Oct. 29 -- In a rare surgery, a tumour weighing 40 kg was removed from the uterus of a woman at Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre in Cuttack recently. As per reports, the tumour was growing inside the body of a woman identified as Shakuntala Majhi, a resident of Angul district, for last 10 years.
After a primary health check-up, a 5-member team of doctors including Dr Manoranjan Mohapatra of maternity ward had conducted the surgery successfully on October 25 which continued for 2 hours.
Mohapatra informed that after the surgery, Majhi was completely healthy.
