Acting on its previous notification, the East Coast Railway (ECoR), on Friday, announced that three major express trains will shift operations to Bhubaneswar New Railway Station (BBSN) starting May 11, 2025.
As per the notification, the Konark Express (Mumbai route), Visakha Express (Secunderabad route), and Inter City Express (Visakhapatnam route) will now originate and terminate at BBSN, easing access for passengers in North Bhubaneswar, Athgarh, and Cuttack.
The move further aims to decongest the city's main railway station and usher development in the northern regions of the state capital and the expanding Cuttack City.
