Bhubaneswar, Jan. 8 -- In a daring robbery at Kalasapur village in Kendrapara district, three unidentified criminals broke into the house of Balaram Sahu last night and looted gold ornaments and other valuables worth around Rs 2 lakh. The dacoits allegedly entered the home armed and fled with the ornaments, leaving the family in shock, police sources said on Thursday.

According to the official sources, following a complaint by the victim's family, the local police at Aul in the district have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities have yet to release further information on the progress of the inquiry.
