Bhubaneswar, Feb. 7 -- Police have registered an FIR after a 25-year-old man died when his motorcycle fell into a deep, uncovered pit allegedly dug by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) during road work in West Delhi's Janakpuri area, officials said.
The incident occurred near B3B Block, close to Andhra School on Professor Jogender Singh Marg. According to police, the pit had been left open in the middle of the road without any safety arrangements.
As per the FIR, there were no warning signs, reflectors, barricades, or proper lighting at the site, and no security personnel had been deployed. Police received a PCR call from a woman reporting that a motorcycle rider had fallen into a pit approximately 15 feet deep and required immediate assistance...
