Bhubaneswar, Nov. 2 -- A late-night pilgrimage journey ended in unimaginable tragedy when a tempo traveller rammed into a parked truck on the Bharat Mala Expressway in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on Sunday. At least 18 people lost their lives, and three others were injured in the horrific collision that left the vehicle completely mangled.

According to Phalodi Superintendent of Police Kundan Kanwaria, the victims were residents of the Phalodi area and were returning home after visiting the Kolayat temple, around 220 kilometres away. The impact of the crash was so severe that several passengers were trapped inside the twisted metal.
