Bhubaneswar, Feb. 1 -- In a sting operation conducted last year, former BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma had allegedly made inappropriate remarks on Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and a number of other players in the team.

However, in his first interview since the sting operation, which led to his ouster from the BCCI, Chetan said that he would never say bad things about Kohli.

"Virat Kohli is like my son, and why would I say bad things about him? I always pray for his well-being. I hope he comes back and scores centuries to reach the 100-ton mark in international cricket. Virat is an icon of Indian cricket. I am waiting for his return," said Chetan in a recent interview.
