Bhubaneswar, Jan. 6 -- An allegation of unauthorised ghee being brought into the Srimandir premises came to light on Monday after the temple administration seized a quantity of ghee allegedly sourced from outside, in violation of the mandated OMFED-only supply rule. The ghee was intercepted while it was reportedly being taken by a Suar Sevak from a devotee inside the temple premises.

Following the incident, the Srimandir administration issued notices to two individuals, seeking written explanations within seven days, officials said.

According to sources, a devotee identified as Rabindra Barik of Bira Harekrushnapur in Puri district was carrying the ghee into the Srimandir. The ghee was allegedly handed over to Jambeswar Suar, a Suar Sev...
