Though the incident occurred last October, the footage has once again brought police conduct and accountability into sharp public focus.

According to a report, the incident took place on October 13, 2025, near the busy Silk Board junction during a traffic enforcement drive aimed at curbing violations of one-way traffic rules. The drive began shortly after 11 am, following verbal instructions issued to traffic personnel across the city.
