Bhubaneswar, Nov. 7 -- Panic gripped locals on Tankapani Road in the capital city of Bhubaneswar on Friday evening after a Thar car parked near Sai Temple suddenly caught fire. The luxury SUV, which was reportedly parked on the roadside, went up in flames within moments, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was stationary and unoccupied when the fire broke out. People in the vicinity noticed smoke emanating from the car and immediately alerted the authorities.

Soon after, a team from the Fire Services Department rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames before the fire could spread to nearby vehicles or properties.
