Bhubaneswar, Jan. 13 -- A disturbing allegation has emerged from Odisha's Bhadrak district, where a grandmother has accused her own son and daughter-in-law of selling their one-month-old daughter for Rs 20,000. The elderly woman has lodged a complaint at the local police station, prompting an investigation into the matter.

According to the complaint filed by Savitri Das, her son Sipu Das and daughter-in-law took the infant out of the house yesterday morning, on the pretext of taking her to a hospital. However, they returned home at night without the baby, raising suspicion among the grandparents.
