Bhubaneswar, Oct. 21 -- Even as the long tail of the second wave lingers on in the State, especially in Bhubaneswar, Odisha government's top health official today discounted the chances of third wave hitting the State.

"A surge was expected during the Durga Puja. But cases didn't count much as was projected. However, he hastened to add that we have to wait for 10 more days to get a clear picture," said Director Health Services Bijay Mohapatra.

"The country's top virologists also see a remote chance of the third wave hitting the nation. But we can't be complacent," he emphasised.
