A youth was killed after being hit by an 'Ama Bus' near Barang Block Chhak in Cuttack district on Monday. The deceased was reportedly riding a motorcycle when the speeding bus, en route from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack, rammed into him from behind.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was severe, and the youth was crushed under the wheels of the bus. Locals rushed to the spot and informed the police.
The identity of the victim is yet to be officially confirmed. Police have seized the bus and detained the driver for questioning. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
