Hong Kong, April 24 -- Taiwan's Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) said local airports are supplying the country's carriers with a blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Read More This month STARLUX Airlines aircraft were fueled by SAF at Taipei Taoyuan airport, China Airlines (CAL) jets at Kaohsiung Airport and EVA Airways airplanes at Taipei Songshan. To support the pilot program, state-owned CPC Corporation imported 400 metric tons of SAF and Formosa Petrochemicals produced 5,500 tons of the renewable fuel by processing used cooking oil. CAA encouraged Taiwan's airlines to include up to 5% of SAF for their flying. To date, only China Airlines and EVA Airway were using SAF on selected flights to Taiwan.
