Hong Kong, Feb. 11 -- The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said earlier this week its three-hour "Cabin Crew - Leveraging Professional Skills" online course would be offered free to laid-off airline cabin crew members to help them re-enter the job market. Read More IATA director of training, Stephanie Siouffi, noted tens of thousands of cabin crew members had lost their jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic. "This offering is a salute to their service to the industry. We hope to welcome them back to aviation, but for now many will need to seek opportunities to earn a livelihood in other sectors," Siouffi said in a statement. Those wishing to undertake the course free of charge had to register by February 23, IATA said.
