Puri, Oct. 20 -- Supreme Court Judge Justice Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana had a bitter experience during his visit to Odisha as he was denied entry into Rosa Ghara (kitchen) of Srimandir in Puri yesterday.

Even as the incident was not highlighted much in media, the Judge of the apex court had expressed displeasure over the restriction at the centuries old shrine.

According to reports, Justice NV Ramana had visited Jagannath Temple on Saturday. After paying obeisance to deities, he wanted to see the temple kitchen. However, the Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) Sharat Das, who was in charge of the Rosa Ghara, prohibited him from entering into the kitchen.
