Bhubaneswar, Oct. 25 -- The Odisha Government has decided to introduce online attendance system for students and teachers in schools, informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

The system will be implemented on a pilot basis in one school per district, the minister said. Dash further informed that as many as 100 'School of Excellence' will be identified where spoken english and computer education will be imparted. Other infrastructure-related assistance will be provided to those 100 schools, he said.

A new helpline- 14417- has been launched by the School & Mass Education Department for the students, Dash said.
