Baripada, Oct. 30 -- A major mishap was averted after the engine of a goods train carrying iron ores from Tatanagar in Jharkhand derailed at Kalimati near Gorumahisani railway station in Mayurbhanj district last night.
Soon after two wheels of the engine slipped the track at around midnight, the loco pilot pulled the break immediately preventing any kind of accident. Later, a maintenance team from Tatanagar was called in for repair work. Meanwhile, train traffic has been disrupted on the route due to the mishap with Tata-Badampahar passenger train halting near Anlajodi.
