Kendrapara, May 19 -- Curiosity ran high among the locals at Arada village in Mahakalpada area of Odisha's coastal district to witness a giant crocodile and its eggs that were spotted from a bamboo bush this morning.

After finding the 10-ft-long female crocodile and eggs laid by the semiaquatic reptile inside the bamboo bush at the village, the locals informed the forest department for rescue of the wildlife.

On receiving the information, a team of forest officials comprised of Mahakalpada ranger Bijay Parida and staff rushed to the spot and rescued the female crocodile and 65 eggs.
