India, Dec. 22 -- Two additional people were arrested on Sunday in connection with the lynching of a Hindu man in Mymensingh, bringing the total number of suspects to 12, according to police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) sources, reported The Daily Star.
The victim, 25-year-old garment worker Dipu Chandra Das, was attacked by a mob over alleged blasphemy in Baluka, Mymensingh, on Thursday.
Das was beaten outside his factory, hanged from a tree, and later his body was left on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway before being set on fire.
Authorities recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
