India, Dec. 23 -- The Biswanath district administration in Assam has asked two women identified as Bangladeshi nationals by the Foreigners' Tribunal to exit India within 24 hours of receiving official notices, officials said on December 22.

The women-Asmull Khatun of Missamari village and Afuja Begum of Bakrapatta village-faced separate proceedings before the Tribunal, which declared them foreigners from Bangladesh at different times.

Following these rulings, Biswanath District Commissioner Lakhinandan Saharia issued expulsion orders under Section 2 of the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950.
