INDIA, Dec. 1 -- Tripura's Raj Bhavan will be officially renamed Lok Bhavan starting December 1, 2025.

The decision was announced by Raj Bhavan authorities following instructions from Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu and consultations with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

The renaming follows central government directives and aims to update the title of the Governor's residence in line with current nomenclature guidelines.

From the effective date, all official references to Raj Bhavan will adopt the new name.

Authorities said that detailed instructions for the transition, including changes to signage, official documents, communication materials, and ceremonial protocols, will be shared in the coming days.
