AGARTALA, March 5 -- Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha revealed on Monday (March 04) that the state administration has forwarded a proposal to the central government, urging the addition of four additional roads in Tripura to the list of national highways.

Speaking during the second day of the budget session in the Tripura legislative assembly, CM Saha highlighted that Tripura presently boasts six national highways spanning a total length of 923.31 km.

In his capacity as the minister of public works department (PWD) for Tripura, CM Saha affirmed, "A proposal has been dispatched to the central government seeking the designation of four more roads within the state as National Highways."
