Tripura government prioritises multilingual education system
AGARTALA, Feb. 21 -- The Tripura government is prioritising the development of a multilingual education system, in alignment with the NEP-2020, in the state.
This was stated by Tripura chief minister Manik Saha on Wednesday (February 21).
Tripura CM Manik Saha said that his government is focusing on promoting mother tongue of all ethnic tribes in the Northeast state.
He highlighted that students now have the opportunity to study in eight tribal languages, including Kokborok, in schools.
"The National Education Policy 2020 underscores the importance of promoting a multilingual education system nationwide," said Tripura CM Manik Saha.
He added: "The BJP-IPFT government is actively implementing various initiatives."
