India, Nov. 27 -- Nearly 2.5 lakh farmers in Tripura have received a cumulative Rs 900 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme since its launch, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said on Thursday.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the state-level orange festival, Nath said the 21st instalment of the scheme was recently disbursed to beneficiaries across the state. "A total of Rs 900 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of 2.5 lakh farmers in Tripura since the scheme began," he said.
