India, Jan. 24 -- Tripura has crossed the 7 megawatt (MW) mark in rooftop solar power generation under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, officials said on Saturday.
According to Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), electricity generated through rooftop solar installations across the state has now exceeded 7 MW since the launch of the centrally sponsored scheme. The increase has been driven by rising consumer participation in the programme, which promotes household-level solar power generation.
