Agartala, June 3 -- Tripura Congress MLA and Congress Working Committee invitee Sudip Roy Barman has written to the Union Minister of Education demanding a high-level inquiry into alleged recruitment irregularities at Tripura University.

In his letter, Roy Barman accused Vice Chancellor Ganga Prasad Prasain and Registrar Deepak Sharma of corruption, favoritism, and administrative misconduct. Once a symbol of academic excellence in the Northeast, the university is now mired in controversy, he claimed.
