Agartala, April 26 -- Tripura's BJP has staunchly rebuffed allegations of election tampering, attributing them to the diminishing sway of the opposition.

BJP's state president, Rajib Bhattacharya, asserted in a press briefing that such claims are a ploy to confuse voters, as the opposition struggles with waning support.

Bhattacharya underscored Tripura's commitment to upholding the integrity of elections, echoing the sentiment following the 2023 Assembly polls.

He noted the robust participation in the East (ST) parliamentary elections, where BJP's Kriti Singh Debbarma contested amidst a festive ambience, drawing over 13 lakh voters and boasting a turnout of 79.55 per cent.
