Agartala, June 3 -- The Youth Tipra Federation (YTF), the youth wing of the Tipra Motha Party, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the state government demanding action against Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma.

Addressing the media persons at Agartala hours after the symbolic "DM office shut down" protest at Udaipur on Tuesday, YTF President Suraj Debbarma warned of statewide agitation if the government failed to act.

"We are giving seven days for the government to take action. If not, we will launch massive protests that could resemble a total lockdown," he said.
