AGARTALA, May 21 -- The ongoing debate over the citizenship amendment act (CAA) has ignited a new war of words between Pradyot Debbarma, founder of Tipra Motha party, and Sudip Roy Barman, a Congress MLA and former BJP minister.

The dispute centres on the implementation of CAA in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
