India, Dec. 7 -- Two minors from the Putia border area in Tripura's Sepahijala district were injured in an alleged incident involving Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Saturday, according to a senior state health official.

The minors, who sustained multiple injuries, were initially admitted to Bishalgarh Subdivision Hospital.

Given the seriousness of their condition, they were later transferred to Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital for advanced treatment.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the injuries may have been caused by BSF firing, possibly from rubber bullets.

The minors were reportedly involved in illegal activities near the border at the time of the incident.
