India, Jan. 25 -- Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday said projects worth Rs 950 crore were inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid during his three-day visit to Tripura.
Speaking to reporters after laying the foundation stone for the Rs 450-crore Matabari Tourism Circuit at Narikelkunja, Scindia said the project would cover five major tourist destinations in the state. These include the Mata Tripura Sundari temple, Neermahal and Ujjayanta palaces, Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary, the rock-cut caves of Chabimura, and 48 islands of Dumboor lake.
"All these locations will be developed as world-class tourism destinations with an investment of 450 crore," Scindia said.
