India, Jan. 24 -- Tripura Police have taken suo motu cognisance of the violent clash between two groups at the Katal Dighir Par area in Kailashahar and registered a case, Director General of Police Anurag Dhankar said on Saturday, asserting that those involved would not be spared.

Responding to queries on the incident, the DGP said the violence erupted suddenly following a confrontation between two groups, leading to a rapid deterioration of the law and order situation. Police intervened promptly to prevent further escalation as tensions spread across the area.
