India, Feb. 7 -- Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma on Friday warned he would take legal action against the Tripura government, claiming that certain areas under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) are being unlawfully converted into a Nagar Panchayat.

The statement followed his visit to Bishramganj in Sepahijala district, where he met with local officials to discuss the ongoing demarcation and proposed conversion of TTAADC lands in connection with the Bishramganj Nagar Panchayat.

Debbarma was joined by TTAADC Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia, former Chief Executive Officer CK Jamatia, and other party leaders.
