India, Feb. 6 -- Debolina Roy has made history as Tripura's first female Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in the Indian Railways, a landmark achievement in women's empowerment and representation in a highly demanding technical profession. She currently serves under the Kharagpur Division of the South Eastern Railway, and her journey reflects determination, skill, and the breaking of long-standing gender barriers.
A native of Agartala, Debolina laid the foundation for her technical career early on. She completed her schooling at Don Bosco School, where her interest in science and technology first took shape.
