Aizawl, May 10 -- Three people, including a woman, have been arrested for possessing Methamphetamine tablets worth Rs. 2.95 crore in east Mizoram's Champhai district on Monday, police said in a statement.

During a random checking of vehicles at the Khankawn police check gate, personnel of state police, who were on duty, recovered 2 lakh tablets (22.35kg) of Methamphetamine from an auto-rickshaw, the statement said.

The driver of the auto-rickshaw Bualchhunga (40), a resident of Champhai's Dinthar locality was arrested on the spot for transporting the stimulant drugs, it said.

The seized Meth tablets worth Rs. 2.95 crore were concealed under cloth in two bags, it said.
