INDIA, Dec. 5 -- Manipur Police is being strengthened with the promotion of State Police Service officers to the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, as six officers have been approved for induction into the IPS, according to an official order issued by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has approved the IPS Select List for 2024, selecting six Manipur State Police Service officers for promotion to the IPS to fill substantive vacancies in the Manipur cadre.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the UPSC finalised the list during its meeting held on October 7, 2025.
