GANGTOK, Feb. 20 -- The Sikkim government, led by chief minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, has given the green light to the creation of 22,746 posts for regularization across various departments.

This decision comes ahead of the upcoming Sikkim assembly and Lok Sabha elections slated for this year.

Currently, individuals holding these posts are employed on a consolidated pay basis, as stated by Sikkim chief minister PS Tamang-Golay.

Among those set to be regularized are personnel serving as home guards, village guards, nurses, ICDS-Anganwadi workers and helpers, as well as ASHA workers.
